Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Lanier in Cornelia, GA, is seeking a part-time Youth Development Professional to support after-school programs at Cornelia Elementary. The role runs August through May, 2:00 pm to 6:30 pm, with potential assignments at nearby sites.

You will plan, supervise, and evaluate activities across education, arts, sports and life skills, ensure safety, and foster positive youth development in a welcoming Club environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; CPR/First Aid certification is required and provided.
• Must be at least 18 for certain programs.
• Fingerprint background check, drug screening, mandated reporting, onboarding, and BGCA/BGCL training required.

Responsibilities

• Create a safe, welcoming environment that promotes positive youth development and participation.
• Plan and lead age-appropriate programs and activities for youth.
• Provide guidance, encouragement, and positive role modeling.
• Maintain active supervision and follow safety procedures.
• Communicate effectively with youth, families, staff, and partners.
• Complete lesson plans and rosters accurately and on time.
