Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Athens is seeking a Youth Development Professional for after-school programs in Winder, GA. This part‑time, seasonal role runs Monday–Friday, 2:00 PM–7:00 PM, with a focus on helping youth build confidence, stay on track academically, and grow socially in a safe, supportive environment.

You'll supervise activities, assist with homework, mentor participants, and work with site staff to ensure smooth daily operations while maintaining safety and welcoming club culture.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Experience with kids or teens preferred but not required.
• Available 2:00–7:00 PM, Monday–Friday.
• Background check and CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Preferred: experience in school, camp, or youth program setting.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and engage youth during structured activities (homework help, games, arts, sports).
• Build positive, trusting relationships with members.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming club environment.
• Support daily attendance and program documentation.
• Collaborate with site staff to keep activities on schedule and address behavior calmly.
• Communicate with parents/guardians as needed.
