Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Lanier is hiring a Youth Development Professional (PT) for the Bagwell Club in Cumming, GA. The role supports after-school programming from August through May, 2:00 pm–6:30 pm, with shifts 2 days per week.

Duties include planning and leading activities, ensuring safety, and fostering positive youth development. The position requires a high school diploma or GED, 18+ for certain programs, CPR/First Aid certification, and background checks with BGCA/BGCL training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 18+ for 21st CCLC and DHS programs.
• CPR/First Aid certification is required and provided by the organization.
• Must complete fingerprint background check, drug screening, mandated reporting, onboarding, BGCA and BGCL training.
• 1–12 months of experience working with children is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, supervise, and evaluate activities across education, arts, sports, health, life skills, and leadership.
• Maintain active supervision and ensure youth safety.
• Create a positive Club environment supporting youth development and participation.
• Develop lesson plans and rosters accurately and on time.
• Provide guidance and positive role modeling for youth individually and in groups.
• Follow BGCA policies, safety procedures, and site-specific rules.
