Job summary

Healthy Kids Programs is hiring a School-Age Childcare Lead for the Before and After School Program at Pittsburgh Minadeo Elementary School for the 2026-2027 school year. The role operates during morning and afternoon blocks that follow the school calendar, with opportunities for morning, afternoon, or both.

Compensation is $16.00 per hour for part-time, non-exempt work. Responsibilities include leading activities, ensuring safety, and coordinating with school policies and families.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• Must pass a full background check, including fingerprinting and references.
• Medically fit to perform job duties including a clear TB.
• Warm, friendly, professional, and reliable; strong interpersonal skills.
• Physically able to bend, lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate hands-on activities following the curriculum including fitness, STEAM, academic, art and homework.
• Provide a safe, healthy, and fun environment and act as a positive role model for children in the program.
• Observe state guidelines, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and host school policies.
• Support program operations, including attendance records, registration, and staffing responsibilities.
