Job summary

Healthy Kids Programs is hiring a School-Age Childcare Site Director for our Before and After School Program at Pittsburgh Minadeo Elementary School for the 2026–2027 school year. The part-time, non-exempt position offers morning and/or afternoon slots (7:00 AM–9:30 AM; 3:30 PM–6:00 PM) with potential for both programs.

The role emphasizes regulatory leadership, program quality, and stakeholder communication, with competitive benefits and employer-paid childcare.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Special Education, or human services field plus 1 year of experience with children under 13.
• Bachelor's Degree including 30 credits in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Special Education, or human services field plus 2 years of experience.
• Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Special Education, or human services field plus 3 years of experience.
• Associate's Degree including 30 credits in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Special Education, or human services field plus 4 years of experience.
• Must pass a full background check, including fingerprinting and reference checks.
• Must be medically fit to perform job duties which includes a clear TB.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Ensure full compliance with PA DHS/OCDEL school-age regulations.
• Lead engaging activities (STEAM, fitness, academics, arts, homework support).
• Oversee daily attendance, registration, and scheduling.
• Serve as liaison between families, school administration, and the Healthy Kids main office.
• Communicate clearly and professionally using the Playground App.
