The position offers a 2:00 PM–6:00 PM schedule, a $20.50 hourly rate, and opportunities to mentor youth, lead diverse activities, and contribute to a high-quality after-school program.

Qualifications

• Experience working with students in grades K-12 in recreational or educational settings.
• Ability to work with school staff, parents and community leaders.
• Knowledge of after-school program quality criteria.
• Strong communication and situational awareness for emergency responses.
• Must be 18 years old and have completed required exams or education.

Responsibilities

• Lead and assist in planning and implementing the daily after-school program.
• Maintain a 20:1 student ratio using recruitment and retention strategies.
• Build positive relationships with youth, guardians and school staff.
• Track attendance and report program progress to the supervisor.
• Prepare supplies and create a creative, engaging learning environment.
• Supervise activities to ensure safety and inclusivity.
• Communicate with staff and guardians about events and student needs.
• Attend staff meetings and professional development sessions.
• Support field trips and after-school events as needed.
