Job summary

After-School All-Stars LA is seeking a Before School Program Leader for the Montebello/Los Angeles area. This part-time role supports the core morning program from 6:00 AM to 9:00 AM, helping provide a safe, engaging environment for K-12 students.

You will collaborate with the Program Coordinator, plan activities, supervise at a 20:1 ratio, and communicate with school staff and families. Applicants should be 18+, have a HS diploma or GED, and be willing to travel for field trips as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience with students in K-12 settings, recreational or educational contexts.
• Ability to work cooperatively with school staff, parents, and community leaders.
• Must be 18+, HS diploma or GED with ASAS-LA exam or higher education; background checks.
• Must clear TB and DOJ/FBI Live Scan before hire.

Responsibilities

• Lead and assist in planning and implementing the daily morning program.
• Maintain a 20:1 student ratio using recruitment and retention strategies.
• Develop positive relationships with youth, guardians, and school staff.
• Prepare supplies and create a safe, engaging learning environment.
• Supervise activities to ensure safety and inclusivity.
• Attend staff meetings and professional development.
