Job summary

After-School All-Stars LA is seeking a part-time Program Leader in Los Angeles to support leadership and enrichment for K-12 students. Core hours are 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM, with an hourly rate of $20.50, and duties include supervising students, coordinating activities, maintaining safety, and collaborating with school staff.

This role requires experience working with youth, effective communication, and a willingness to travel for events and trainings in a diverse urban setting.

Qualifications

• Experience working with students in grades K-12 in recreational, educational and/or community youth outreach setting.
• Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with school district staff, parents and community leaders.
• Must be 18 years of age and have HS diploma/GED or higher, with required exams or coursework as specified by ASAS-LA.

Responsibilities

• Lead and assist in planning (prep time) and implementation of the daily after‑school program under the Program Coordinator.
• Maintain a 20:1 student ratio using recruitment and retention strategies.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with youth, guardians and school staff to increase program visibility.
• Communicate attendance data, program progress and concerns as part of quality improvement.
