Job summary

LACOE Expanded is seeking a Part-Time Before School Program Leader for East LA. The role supports morning sessions, oversees activities, and ensures a safe, engaging environment for K-12 students.

Hours are early morning and event-based, with a focus on supervision, enrichment, and collaboration with school staff and families. Applicants should demonstrate experience with youth programs, strong communication, and the ability to work in a dynamic school setting.

Qualifications

• Experience working with students in grades K-12 in recreational, educational and/or community youth outreach setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Fluency in a language other than English highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead and assist in planning & implementation of the daily after-school program.
• Maintain a 20:1 ratio using recruitment and retention strategies.
• Communicate with school staff and guardians regarding program activities and student needs.
• Supervise students to ensure safety and engagement during activities.
