Job summary

The role requires evening/weekend availability, strong communication, and ability to travel between sites as needed. Prior experience with youth programs and a high school diploma or equivalent are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience with K-12 students in recreational/educational settings.
• Ability to collaborate with school district staff, parents and community leaders.
• Familiarity with after-school program quality criteria.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; respond effectively in emergencies.
• Must be 18+ and have HS diploma or GED with further education/credentialing.
• Must clear TB screening and DOJ/FBI Live Scan prior to hire.

Responsibilities

• Lead and assist in planning and implementing the after-school program under supervision.
• Maintain 20:1 student ratio using recruitment and retention strategies.
• Develop positive relationships with youth, guardians, and school staff.
• Provide attendance tracking data and program progress updates.
• Prepare materials and supplies; manage safety and learning environment.
• Supervise activities and ensure a safe, engaging environment.
• Attend staff meetings and professional development.
• Support off-site events and field trips as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
