Job summary

After-School All-Stars is seeking a part-time Program Leader in the Los Angeles area to oversee and support the after-school program for students in grades K-12. The role emphasizes safe, engaging, and educational activities with a focus on supervision, community relations, and program quality under the ASAS-LA Program Coordinator.

Core hours are 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM with occasional evenings and weekends. Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED, an associate degree or higher, or two

Qualifications

• Experience with K-12 students in recreational or educational settings.
• Ability to work with school staff, parents and community leaders.
• Must pass Tuberculosis screening and DOJ/FBI Live Scan prior to hire.
• Must be 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Lead and assist in planning and implementing the daily after-school program under supervision.
• Maintain student ratios and recruit/retain participants.
• Develop positive relationships with youth, guardians and school staff.
• Communicate attendance, progress and concerns to supervisor.
• Prepare supplies and create a creative, engaging learning environment.
• Supervise students during activities to ensure safety.
