Job summary

After-School All-Stars Los Angeles is seeking a Part-Time Program Leader to support academic, cultural and recreational enrichment in a school setting. Under the ASAS-LA Program Coordinator, you will help provide a safe, engaging environment for youth and assist in daily program delivery.

You will maintain a 20:1 student ratio, communicate with staff and guardians, track attendance, prepare supplies and supervise activities. Evening/weekend hours and site travel are required.

Qualifications

• Experience working with K-12 students in recreational/educational settings.
• High school diploma or GED with ASAS-LA exam or higher education.
• Ability to communicate effectively with staff, parents and partners.

Responsibilities

• Lead and assist in planning and implementing the daily after-school program.
• Maintain a 20:1 student ratio using recruitment and retention strategies.
• Develop relationships with youth, guardians and school staff.
• Track attendance and report program progress and concerns.
• Prepare supplies and create an engaging learning environment.
• Supervise students to ensure a safe, supportive environment.
• Communicate with school staff and guardians about activities and events.
• Attend staff meetings and professional development.
• Travel to field trip sites and participate in off-site meetings as needed.
