Job summary

CALEX SPORTS INC is seeking an enthusiastic After School Dance Teacher to lead in-person dance sessions at multiple Bay Area elementary schools. This part-time role requires scheduling flexibility, guiding classes, and maintaining a positive learning environment for children in grades K-3.

Classes run on weekdays, with 1–1.5 hour sessions, totaling 2–5 hours per week. A background check and TB test are required, and candidates should be comfortable traveling to schools in the Bay Area.

Qualifications

• 19+ years old at time of application.
• Previous teaching or playing experience in pickleball or tennis is preferred but not required.
• USPTA/PTR certification is preferred but not required.
• Enjoy working with kids and possess effective classroom management skills.
• Flexibility, reliability, punctuality and a professional, enthusiastic attitude.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must have own car and valid driver's license to use at work.
• Willingness to undergo a live scan background check and TB test before working.
• Fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
• Must complete sending photo and short biography to upload on the website and introduce your experience in sports.

Responsibilities

• Class Management: manage a class size of 8-16 students aged 5-10 and teach different dance forms.
• Training and Preparation: attend up to two days of unpaid training/shadowing and set up equipment for each class.
• Administrative Tasks: take attendance, sign in/out students, and interact with parents and school staff.
• Documentation: capture photos of sessions and provide feedback for each student.
