Job summary

CALEX SPORTS INC. seeks an After School Dance Teacher to join our Bay Area program for Grades K-3. This in-person, part-time role involves leading dance classes, managing small groups, and creating a positive, engaging learning environment.

Classes run weekday afternoons, with a total weekly commitment of 2–5 hours. Candidates should be 19+ and comfortable with classroom management; prior pickleball/tennis teaching is a plus but not required.

Qualifications

• Must be 19+ years old upon application submission.
• Previous teaching or playing experience in pickleball or tennis is preferred but not required.
• USPTA/PTR certification is preferred but not required.
• Enjoy working with kids and possess effective classroom management skills.
• Flexibility, reliability, punctuality, and a professional, enthusiastic approach.

Responsibilities

• Class Management: manage a class size of 8–16 students aged 5–10; teach different forms of dance.
• Training and Preparation: attend up to two days of unpaid training/shadowing; transport equipment and set up for each class.
• Administrative Tasks: take attendance, sign in/out students, interact with parents and school staff, provide feedback by session end.
• Documentation: capture photos of kids in action each session.
