Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Northeast Ohio (BGCNEO) is seeking a dynamic PT Assistant Club Director to support daily After School Teen & Youth Program operations at the Erie Teen Center in Sandusky, OH.

The role reports to the Club Director and involves assisting in managing the site, supervising staff, recruiting and training personnel, and ensuring safe, engaging programs for youth. Background check and drug test are required.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in related field from an accredited college or university.
• 1 year work experience in a Boys & Girls Club or similar organization planning and supervising activities based on the development needs of young people.
• Demonstrated ability in personnel supervision, facilities management, and the recruitment and retention of key personnel.
• Ability to recruit, train, supervise & motivate staff.
• Effective communication skills both oral and written.
• Final candidates must clear a background check and drug test.
• Demonstrated ability in working with young people, parents, and community leaders.
• Valid State Driver's License & CPR certification required (or obtain within 6 month of hire).

Responsibilities

• Assist Club Director with daily operations of one location.
• Serve as lead staff in the absence of the club director.
• Recruit, select and manage program staff.
• Perform administrative and operational tasks.
• Cultivate relationships with local businesses, schools, officials and community partners.
• Ensure club building and property are safe, clean and well-maintained.
