Looking for a part-time role where your organizational skills and welcoming personality make a difference? A local church in Hot Springs Village is seeking a dependable Administrative Assistant to keep its office running smoothly and support the people it serves.
You’ll be a welcoming point of contact for members and visitors while helping the Minister and church leadership stay organized. This role is a good fit for someone who enjoys working with people, managing details, and taking ownership of day-to-day office responsibilities.
Responsibilities
Welcome members and visitors, answer phone calls, and connect people with the appropriate staff or resources.
Provide administrative support to the Minister and church leadership, including correspondence, filing, copying, and document preparation.
Gather content and prepare, print, and distribute weekly worship bulletins and special bulletins.
Manage church activity calendars, staff calendars, and facility-use schedules.
Maintain accurate membership records, attendance records, and the church directory.
Organize meeting agendas, minutes, and supporting documents; maintain official church records.
Assist families with memorial information and coordinate details with church staff.
Process incoming mail and packages and respond to or route routine inquiries.
Monitor office supplies, place orders, and coordinate with office equipment vendors.
Keep policies, procedures, and organizational materials current and submit required documentation to the church’s Head Office.
Qualifications
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Clear, professional written and verbal communication.
A friendly, service-minded approach and the ability to handle sensitive situations with compassion and discretion.
Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and comfort using printers, copiers, and other office technology.
Ability to work independently, follow through on tasks, and collaborate with staff and church leadership.
Preferred Experience
Experience as an administrative assistant, office assistant, receptionist, secretary, or in a similar role.
Background in a church, nonprofit, membership organization, or other service-oriented setting is helpful.
Experience managing calendars, maintaining records, and preparing correspondence or publications.
Part-time schedule: approximately 28 hours per week across four days.
Church office closed Fridays.
