Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Whatcom County is seeking a part-time Accounts Payable Specialist to accurately manage the full AP cycle across Clubhouses and care centers. You will code invoices, route approvals, maintain vendor records, and administer staff purchase cards and reimbursements.

Reporting to the VP of Finance, you’ll support monthly close, handle confidential data, and ensure expenses are properly allocated to programs and funding sources.

Qualifications

• Must be able to manage full accounts payable cycle across multiple sites.
• Strong organization and attention to detail are essential.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Experience administering purchase cards and expense reimbursements helpful.

Responsibilities

• Own the full accounts payable process across all Clubhouse and licensed care sites.
• Review, code, route, and process invoices accurately and timely.
• Maintain accurate vendor records and payment documentation.
• Administer staff purchase cards and expense reimbursements.
• Ensure expenses are coded to the correct program, site, and funding source.
• Support monthly financial close and related reconciliation activities.
• Communicate with vendors and internal teams to resolve questions and discrepancies.
• Handle confidential financial information with care and sound judgment.
