Job summary

Pensacola State College seeks a Part-time Accommodations Specialist to support the ADA Services office. This non-exempt role coordinates accommodations for students with disabilities, prepares accessible materials, and assists with testing and outreach across college locations.

The position emphasizes confidentiality, FERPA compliance, and collaboration with faculty and staff to ensure accessible educational experiences.

Qualifications

Graduation from an institution thatholds accreditation recognized by the U.S. Department of Educationand approved by the College, with an associate degree.
Possess avalid driver’s license.
Successful results of a criminal backgroundcheck are required.

Responsibilities

Conduces intake appointments to determine accommodation needs for students with disabilities.
Prepares specialized accommodation materials for students such as printing or enlarging textbooks. Converts, edits, formats, and prepares instructional materials into accessible or alternativeformats in accordance with approved student accommodations.
Proctors, reads, and scribes for accommodated testing, traveling to other College locations as needed.
Assists with the scheduling and coordination of accommodated testing and communicates with faculty regarding test materials, instructions, and accommodations.
Maintains accurate and confidential records of student contacts, accommodation-related activities, and testing services provided to students.
Provides excellent customer service to students, staff, and visitors.
