Job summary

Pensacola State College is seeking a Director of ADA Services to lead the campus-wide program supporting students with disabilities. You will oversee intake, documentation review, accommodation arrangements, and privacy of records, reporting to the Dean of Students.

Responsibilities include budget management, staff supervision, training for faculty and staff, and collaboration with Academic Affairs, Student Affairs, Testing Centers, and other departments to ensure accessible services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a field related to special education or rehabilitation services with three years of professional experience in an academic environment.
• Knowledge of federal and state regulations regarding working with students with disabilities (ADA/504).
• Successful results of a criminal background check required.

Responsibilities

• Directs all activities of the ADA Services department and coordinates accommodations for students.
• Keeps abreast of ADA and Section 504 regulations.
• Maintains privacy and security of student disability records.
• Prepares and manages the departmental budget.
• Provides in-service training to faculty and administrators.
• supervises staff serving students with disabilities.
• Collaborates with Academic Affairs, Student Affairs, Testing Centers, and other departments to address needs and accommodations.
• Assists with accessibility reviews of the website and other items.
