Job summary

Pensacola State College seeks a Director of ADA Services to lead the college-wide ADA Services Department, oversee intake, review medical documentation, and arrange accommodations to support students with disabilities.

The role requires collaboration with Academic Affairs, Student Affairs, Testing Centers and other departments, supervision of staff, privacy protection, and budget management, all within ADA/504 regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in special education, rehabilitative services, education, psychology, or counseling.
• Three years of professional experience in an academic environment.
• Knowledge of federal and state regulations regarding students with disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Directs all activities of the ADA Services Department across the college.
• Oversees intake of students requesting assistance and reviews medical documentation.
• Arranges accommodations through ADA Services or other departments as needed.
• Keeps abreast of ADA/Section 504 regulations and related laws.
• Maintains privacy of student medical and disability records.
• Prepares and manages the departmental budget.
• Provides in-service training to faculty and administrators.
• Supervises support staff and service personnel.
• Collaborates with Academic Affairs, Student Affairs, Testing Centers and others.
• Assists with accessibility reviews of the website and campus resources.
