Job summary

Blessing Health System is seeking a Patient Registration Specialist to conduct patient interviews, verify insurance, collect payments, and ensure accurate registration across multiple hospital sites such as ED and Walk-In Clinic.

This role requires high school completion, strong communication and customer service skills, and the ability to multi-task while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Must have good interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
• Strong customer service orientation with problem-solving ability.
• Proficient with basic office software (Word, Excel).
• Ability to multi-task and work independently with critical thinking.

Responsibilities

• Conduct professional patient interviews to obtain demographic, financial, and biographical information.
• Handle registration duties across Patient Access areas (ED, Walk-In Clinic, etc.).
• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits, collect point-of-service payments, and determine medical necessity.
• Support compliance with federal and state regulations and contribute to service excellence.
