Job summary

Allied Universal, a leading security and facilities services company, is seeking a Security Officer Part Time Access Point Coordinator in New York, NY. You will manage badge access, greet visitors, verify credentials, and maintain clear entry records while patrolling assigned areas and delivering exceptional customer service.

Join a collaborative team with flexible scheduling: Mon 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM and Fri 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM.

Qualifications

Access control/badge experience preferred.
State/city security license preferred.
Customer service experience preferred.
Guard card/license preferred.
Comfortable using computer or tablet preferred.
Minimum age 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Background check and drug screening per law.
Licensing requirements may apply.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, employees, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at utility facilities.
Monitor access points, verify credentials and authorizations, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and control entry and exit in accordance with site requirements.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel as directed.
Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, buildings, parking areas, and perimeter areas to identify and report unusual conditions and help to deter unauthorized access.
Document security-related activities, incidents, and access-control exceptions accurately, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal supervision.
