Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Part Time Access Control Coordinator in Bronx, NY. You will monitor entry points, verify access, and assist residents, visitors, and staff with professionalism and care.

As a Security Officer, you will maintain a visible presence, document security-related activity, and deter incidents while following site procedures. Schedule includes evenings; pay rate is $17.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and service providers while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies at a shelter location.
• Monitor and manage access to the facility by verifying authorization, screening visitors as required, and maintaining accurate entry and exit records.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of designated interior and exterior areas, including entrances, common areas, and the perimeter, to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Document incidents, observations, and access-control activity in accordance with site procedures and promptly communicate relevant information to appropriate personnel.
