Allied Universal, a leading security and facility services provider in New York, is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer for Transitional Housing Access Control in New York, NY. The role includes unarmed patrols, customer service, and monitoring access points to deter incidents while maintaining a welcoming environment.

Pay rate is $18.87 per hour with a flexible day/evening schedule (DayTime, Sat 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM, Sun 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM).

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Age 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check required by law and company policy.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply per state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and the public following site policies and emergency procedures.
• Respond to incidents and disturbances in a calm, professional manner and follow reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of assigned government offices and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions, escalate unusual situations.
• Prepare accurate incident reports and daily activity logs per site requirements.
