Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Security Officer at the York, PA site to guard clients across logistics and distribution. You will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor activity, and maintain a visible security presence while delivering customer service.

The role offers a part-time schedule, competitive pay of $19.61 per hour, and opportunities through our Claim a Shift platform. No armed duties unless licensed; background check and drug screening required.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees while carrying out site-specific access control procedures.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and delivery documentation, and control access for authorized personnel, vehicles, and contractors.
• Maintain accurate visitor, vendor, and vehicle logs; issue and collect access credentials in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
