Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Access Control Operations in York, PA. You will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor activity, and help maintain a welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and delivery personnel at a dynamic distribution site.

The role is full-time with a pay rate of $19.61 per hour and a schedule including DayTime Wed–Sun shifts. Training and advancement opportunities are provided to support career growth.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access-control protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points at a distribution location, verify credentials and visitor authorization, and document entries, exits, deliveries, and other site activity.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Communicate professionally with employees, drivers, vendors, and visitors while supporting orderly access and traffic flow throughout the location.
