Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer for Access Operations in Myerstown, PA. You will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and help maintain a secure, welcoming environment at a logistics and distribution site.

The role requires using a computer or tablet, 6 months of security experience, and a high school diploma. You will join a team offering flexible weekend schedules and the chance to contribute to community protection.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of security-related experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor access points for a logistics and distribution location, verify credentials and visitor authorization, and maintain accurate entry and exit records.
• Control vehicle and pedestrian access, direct delivery drivers to designated areas, and communicate access-related information to appropriate site contacts.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and reporting concerns to Allied Universal leadership and/or client representatives.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, the facility perimeter, parking areas, and other assigned areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
