Job summary

The Center for Academic Performance at the University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Part-Time Writing Assistant to support student success through academic writing assistance.

The Writing Assistant will work closely with the Writing Coordinator to provide constructive feedback on student writing submissions and help develop supplemental learning materials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Familiarity with college-level writing instruction, student coaching, and graduate-level writing.

Responsibilities

• Review and assess student writing submissions with detailed feedback.
• Conduct one-on-one virtual writing consultations with students.
• Support Writing Coordinator in developing instructional materials.
• Maintain clear, timely communication with students and follow-up.
• Stay current with best practices in writing instruction and integrity.
