Job summary

City Colleges of Chicago seeks a part-time Grant Funded Coordinator for Academic/Career Programs at Wilbur Wright College – Humboldt Park Campus. You will administer and support programs, coordinate operations, and provide student information and guidance to promote success.

You will collaborate with Deans and administrators to execute activities, support retention, and help students progress toward certificates, degrees, or transfer goals, while handling scheduling and events with a focus on

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or Public Administration, Education, Public Policy, or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in an administrative/program role, preferably in higher education or nonprofit.
• Combination of education and experience may be considered.
• Strong collaboration in a matrixed environment and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Implements and executes processes and procedures to support an academic program and student services.
• Provides individual and group academic coaching aligned with transfer, completion, and career goals.
• Develops workshops and outreach activities to promote growth and college life engagement.
• Monitors day-to-day operations of programs, ensuring compliance with CCC policies.
• Guides students on curriculum, schedules, and degree progression.
• Collaborates with faculty to support student success programs and retention.
• Coordinates course planning and schedules for certificate programs and instructors.
• Oversees scheduling of certificate, degree, and seminar courses across programs.
• Creates presentations for events and collaborates with Marketing for materials.
• Compiles and maintains program and student data for reports.
• Leads events like open houses and science fairs; supports faculty development.
• Oversees procurement related to an academic program and coordinates with Purchasing.
