Job summary

City Colleges of Chicago seeks a part-time Coordinator – Academic/ Career Programs at Wilbur Wright College, Humboldt Park Campus. You will administer and support an academic program, coordinating work operations and providing information, guidance, and student support to help achieve academic goals.

You’ll work with Deans and college staff to oversee daily operations, plan activities, and promote student success across certificate, degree, and non-credit programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Business or Public Administration, Education, Public Policy, or related field.
• Three to five years of work experience in an administrative or program administrator role, preferably in higher education or non-profit.
• Ability to collaborate in a matrixed environment and work in a fast-paced setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Implements and executes processes to support an academic program and direct student services.
• Provides individual or group academic coaching to support student goals and transfer paths.
• Develops workshops and outreach activities to promote growth and engagement.
• Oversees day-to-day operations of certificate and non-credit programs and ensures compliance with CCC policies.
• Guides students on curriculum, course schedules, and degree progression.
• Collaborates with faculty to implement student success programs to improve retention.
• Coordinates course planning for certificate programs and schedules instructors.
• Oversees scheduling of certificate and degree courses and monitors instructors’ performance.
