Job summary

Agape Love Childcare Center is seeking a compassionate Part-Time ABA & Behavioral Support Specialist to provide individualized behavioral, developmental, and social-emotional support to children within our childcare center in Detroit, MI.

This role focuses on 1:1 support and observation, helping children participate in classroom activities and learn through developmentally appropriate strategies. It is not a traditional teaching position, but a collaborative and impactful role.

Qualifications

• Experience working with young children in behavioral support.
• Ability to implement ABA strategies and reports.
• Strong communication with families and staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized 1:1 behavioral and developmental support to designated children.
• Support other children with behavioral or social-emotional needs.
• Help children with transitions, communication, emotional regulation, and classroom participation.
• Use positive reinforcement and developmentally appropriate strategies.
• Observe and document child progress and progress notes.
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and specialists as appropriate.
