Job summary

Air Methods is seeking an experienced aircraft mechanic with an A&P license to perform maintenance, repairs and inspections on Company-operated aircraft. You will ensure all records comply with FAA regulations and company policy while supporting continuous safety improvements.

You will communicate effectively with the PIC, manage documentation, participate in on-call rotations including nights and holidays, and travel 25–50% as needed to support Part 135 operations and company objectives.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED is required.
2 to 5 years’ related aircraft maintenance experience is required.
Factory airframe/power plant schools preferred; FAR 135 operations preferred.

Responsibilities

Performs inspections and repairs of aircraft and components in accordance with procedures and applicable regulations.
Verify part numbers and serials match documentation during installation or removal.
Ensure all maintenance documentation complies with regulations, policies and manuals.
Participate in the Safety Management System and follow SMS policies.
Maintain a clean, professional work area and assist in corrective actions as directed.
Inform Pilot in Command of any maintenance issues that would take an aircraft out of service.
Assist with parts requests to keep an adequate inventory for operations.
