Job summary

Air Methods is hiring an Aircraft Mechanic to inspect, repair, and alter company aircraft in compliance with FARs and internal procedures. The role requires an FAA A&P license and 2–5 years of related maintenance experience.

The successful candidate will participate in SMS initiatives, maintain clean work areas, and communicate effectively with PICs. Travel up to 50% may be required and overtime/call duties are possible.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2–5 years of related aircraft maintenance experience required.
• Factory airframe/powerplant schools preferred.
• FAR 135 operations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs inspections and repairs of aircraft and components in accordance with maintenance procedures, airworthiness directives, service bulletins, service letters, and applicable Federal Aviation Regulations
• Verifies part numbers and serial numbers match documentation during installation or removal of components
• Ensures maintenance documentation complies with FARs, company policies, and manuals
• Participates in Safety Management System (SMS) level 4 improvements and follows SMS procedures
• Maintains a clean, professional work area
• Corrects compliance or safety issues as directed by leadership
• Advises Pilot in Command of maintenance issues that could remove an aircraft from service
• Verifies data in Status Reports for aircraft
• Requests aviation parts to maintain inventory for readiness
• Other duties as assigned
