Job summary

Houston Parks Board is seeking a Capital Projects Manager to oversee multiple park and trail projects from inception to completion. You will coordinate design, construction, and procurement while ensuring on-time delivery, budget adherence, and compliance with standards.

The role supports community engagement and reports to the Director of Capital Projects within a hybrid work setup. A relevant landscape/engineering degree and 3–5 years of project management experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture, Architecture, Civil Engineering, or Urban Planning.
• 3–5 years of project management experience in civic infrastructure, parks or trails.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent communication and collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
• Proficiency in MS Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Outlook, Teams).

Responsibilities

• Oversee planning, design, and construction of park and trail projects end-to-end.
• Ensure projects meet timeline, budget, and quality standards.
• Coordinate internal resources across HPB departments and with third parties.
