Job summary

The City of Pasadena Parks & Recreation Department seeks a Part-Time Pooled Parks Worker to assist with routine maintenance, cleanliness, and upkeep of city parks and recreational areas. Outdoor work in varying weather and a schedule that may include weekends and evenings.

Duties include litter control, mowing and landscaping, construction and maintenance tasks, safe equipment use, and assisting park visitors.

Qualifications

• Valid Texas Driver's License and a good driving record.
• Ability to perform moderate to heavy physical labor.
• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in parks maintenance, landscaping, construction, or related work preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of City parks and recreational areas.
• Perform litter control and refuse disposal tasks.
• Mow grass and trim landscaped areas using mowers and tools.
• Assist with construction and maintenance projects on park facilities.
• Operate and maintain equipment safely; report safety concerns.
• Provide courteous assistance to park visitors.
