Job summary

Gfoat is seeking a parks maintenance worker to support the city’s parks division, maintaining grounds, athletic fields, and common areas to ensure a safe, attractive environment. You will work under the Director of Parks & Recreation and assist with setup for events and ongoing grounds care.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and 1–3 years of related landscape experience, plus a valid Class C license. Weekend hours and outdoor work are expected in this position.

Qualifications

• Requires HS diploma or GED and 1–3 years of related landscape maintenance experience.
• Must have attention to detail and safety consciousness.
• Ability to read and follow instructions and communicate professionally.

Responsibilities

• Maintains city parks, grounds, green spaces, and athletic fields to ensure safety and aesthetics.
• Sets up and tears down equipment for events; handles barricades, chairs, and stages as needed.
• Performs additional duties as assigned by supervision.
