Job summary

The City of Pasadena is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform general and technical upkeep on all City pools and splash pads, including cleaning, chemical balancing and equipment servicing. You will ensure compliance with state codes and operate filtration systems, pumps and VFDs.

You will be responsible for preventive maintenance, on-call responses, and training seasonal staff, with opportunities for professional growth as part of a comprehensive city benefits package and retirement plan.

Qualifications

• Requires experience in swimming pool/splash pad maintenance and repair.
• Valid Texas Class C Driver's License with a clean driving record.
• Certifications: CPR/AED, First Aid and Bloodborne Pathogens within six months.

Responsibilities

• Perform general, technical and specialized maintenance on City pools and splash pads.
• Operate, repair and calibrate water purification systems and erosion feeders.
• Inspect facilities, test water chemistry, balance chemicals and backwash filters as needed.
