Job summary

City of Pasadena, TX is seeking a Part-Time Recreation Attendant to help run safe, welcoming activities for children and youth at city recreation centers. You will supervise participants, assist with registrations, and support daily operations for the Parks and Recreation Department.

The role requires evenings, weekends, holidays and special events; schedule ~20 hours weekly in school year and more in summer. Preferred experience in customer service or youth programs.

Qualifications

• Preferred: prior experience working with children or youth in recreational settings.
• Experience assisting with special events or group activities.
• Customer service or public-facing experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise children and youth participants to ensure a safe and positive recreational experience.
• Facilitate recreational activities and assist with program implementation.
• Manage sign-in sheets, registrations, and attendance tracking.
• Assist with food program activities and ServSafe-compliant areas as needed.
• Support opening/closing procedures and center maintenance; greet patrons and respond to feedback.
