Job summary

The City of Saint Joseph is seeking a Project Manager focused on Parks-related initiatives to oversee project and construction management within General Services. You will provide administrative and technical support to the Chief Project Manager and work across departments to ensure successful project outcomes.

Responsibilities include supervising projects, coordinating with Parks and other agencies, and planning and costing for future developments while maintaining city standards and handling

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in civil engineering, construction, or project management preferred.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Knowledge of City Code of Ordinances, State and Federal laws and regulations pertaining to public works operations.
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Supervises, manages, and coordinates projects in the General Services Department.
• Meets with Parks and Project Management staff to gather and discuss data and information.
• Collaborates with local/state agencies and city departments to consolidate resources and ensure project outcomes.
• Plans for future projects; estimates costs and monitors schedules.
• Evaluates and negotiates contracts for outside professional services; reviews work and approves payments.
• Inspects field work and handles citizen inquiries and complaints.
• Reviews plans and maintains city construction standards.
