Job summary

Willmeng Construction seeks a Project Manager to oversee Parks & Recreation projects, leading day-to-day execution, coordinating subcontractors, vendors, and internal staff to meet time, budget, and quality goals.

You will supervise the project team, engage with owners and stakeholders, and ensure safety compliance while maintaining Willmeng’s high standards. Strong scheduling, budgeting, and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Construction Engineering preferred, or a BS in Engineering with relevant experience.
• 3–5 years of Project Manager experience preferred.
• Experience with estimating and conceptual estimating.
• Ability to develop and maintain relationships with potential clients and public-sector stakeholders.
• Proficiency in construction software (Procore, Bluebeam, and Sage) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Lead Parks & Recreation construction projects from preconstruction through closeout, ensuring delivery on time and within budget.
• Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and quality control measures while monitoring project costs and profitability.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, and consultants to resolve technical issues and maintain momentum.
• Process and manage subcontractor payments, change orders, and monthly cost reporting.
• Serve as primary contact for project owners and stakeholders, leading meetings and providing status updates.
• Mentor project team members to maintain strong field coordination and performance.
• Review construction documents and ensure compliance with safety regulations and project requirements.
• Manage project documentation, permits, inspections, and closeout activities with AHJs and Parks & Recreation.
