Job summary

Indy Parks is seeking a proactive supervisor to oversee daily operations of sports, programs, services, and facilities at assigned park locations. You will manage recreational programming, ensure policy compliance, and handle public interactions with professional conduct.

The role requires coordinating events, supervising staff, and maintaining facilities while ensuring safety and quality service to the community.

Qualifications

Must be self-motivated and able to follow verbal and written instructions.
Ability to coordinate multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Ability to work varied schedules including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
General knowledge of sports, recreational games, and arts and crafts.

Responsibilities

Assists in development, planning, directing and coordinating a wide variety of recreational events.
Follows established policies and procedures.
Uses software and technology platforms to organize, document, track, and monitor work (ActiveNet, Microsoft Office, InforPS, Peoplesoft, WebEx).
Delivers excellent customer service and builds rapport with park users.
Initiates new sports, aquatics, and recreation programs.
Schedules classes and assists in planning.
Supervises and coordinates recreational programs.
Responsible for collecting, depositing, and securing park funds.
Attends meetings or trainings as required.
Supervises the use of supplies, equipment, and facilities.
