Job summary

Jacobs in Centennial, CO seeks a Facilities Maintenance Technician II to perform preventative maintenance on parks and facilities, including irrigation systems and fleet inspections. You’ll read blueprints, support carpentry tasks, and work with safety protocols under the Facilities Manager.

Three years of landscape facilities maintenance experience, MS Office proficiency, and a valid driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED.
• Minimum three (3) years of experience in landscape facilities maintenance, including ground and irrigation maintenance and turf management.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook) and ability to operate standard office equipment; ability to learn Workflow Management System as needed.
• Strong interpersonal skills to build cooperative relationships with employees, officials, contractors, suppliers and the public.
• Must possess and maintain a valid State driver’s license with no major infractions.
• Must be capable of personally driving a company vehicle as part of duties.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and routine maintenance in parks and facilities grounds.
• Observe and adjust equipment using monitoring programs and irrigation systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance inspections on the client’s fleet vehicles.
• Provide minor carpentry and general parks maintenance (painting, framing, plumbing, drywall).
• Read blueprints and diagrams.
• Support field services with tasks including snow removal, splash pad water-quality testing, litter pickup, and inspections.
• On-call after hours as scheduled by the Facilities Manager.
• Follow safety procedures and report unsafe conditions as part of Jacobs' safety program.
• Perform other similar duties as assigned.
