Job summary

City of Boulder seeks a skilled facilities technician to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on multiple city buildings. You’ll diagnose, repair, and coordinate with contractors to keep systems like HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and doors in top condition.

You will operate CMMS for work orders, assist with pool and irrigation systems, and support safety standards while working outdoors and in mechanical spaces. A valid driver’s license and background check are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and 2–3 years building maintenance experience.
• Experience with HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building systems is essential.
• Ability to operate CMMS for work orders and asset tracking.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance on city buildings.
• Work with contractors for in-house and external maintenance tasks.
• Inspect and maintain HVAC, electrical, plumbing, lighting, doors, and safety systems.
• Operate lifts and power tools safely and follow CJIS-related security policies where applicable.
