Job summary

The City-of-Dove Community Services Department seeks a full-time, 40-hour-per-week position performing routine unskilled and semi-skilled manual labor to maintain city buildings, parks, ball fields, playgrounds, traffic signals, street lights and other facilities in the Facilities, Grounds & Cemeteries Division.

Required: high school diploma or equivalent and one year in construction, road maintenance or trade work; a valid operator’s license (CDL-B with air brake and tanker preferred).

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of using simple hand and power tools.
• Ability to perform routine manual labor for extended periods.
• Experience with basic computer tasks and service requests.

Responsibilities

• Perform general heavy laboring duties to assist skilled workers.
• Maintain parks, fields, cemeteries and playground facilities.
• Assist in snow removal and operate light equipment as needed.
• Load and unload objects; perform traffic control at job sites.
• Operate trucks and hand tools while ensuring safety procedures.
