Job summary

The Community Services Department in Dover, NH is seeking a full-time Facilities Grounds & Cemeteries worker to perform a variety of routine unskilled and semi-skilled manual labor duties, maintaining city buildings, parks, ball fields, playgrounds, traffic signals, street lights and other facilities.

The position is 40 hours per week, non-exempt, with a wage of $20.29 to $29.32 per hour; high school diploma and one year of related experience required; CDL-B license preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent plus one year of related experience.
• Valid Operator’s license required; CDL-B with air brake and tanker endorsement preferred.
• Ability to perform strenuous manual labor in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Perform general heavy laboring duties assisting skilled workers; lay curbstones, remove trees, pour cement.
• Maintain parks, ball fields, cemeteries, and playground facilities; mow, rake leaves, clear brush.
• Assist in snow removal operations; operate small trucks or sidewalk plows; attach/detach plows and sanders.
