Job summary

City of Deerfield Beach is seeking a municipal maintenance worker to perform grounds, cemetery and facilities upkeep across City properties. Duties include operating tools, landscaping, and assisting with events and emergency responses.

Candidate must have a high school diploma or GED and a valid Florida drivers license. Will work under supervision in a safety‑conscious, outdoor environment with varied shifts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Must possess and maintain a valid state drivers license with an acceptable driving history.

Responsibilities

• Perform manual and/or laboring tasks in grounds and facilities.
• Operate power tools and light/heavy equipment as needed.
• Mow, edge lawns, plant, trim hedges, mulch beds.
• Clean facilities, secure sites, assist with events and emergencies.
• Lay out burial plots and assist with cemetery operations.
