Job summary

CityParking Inc. in Richmond, VA is seeking a Maintenance Porter to keep parking facilities clean, safe, and welcoming for customers and staff. You will manage daily cleaning of garages, lots, stairwells, and surrounding areas, ensuring a professional appearance.

This role requires reliable, independent work with good communication, and a focus on safety and details. Outdoor work, lifting up to 50 lbs, and occasional weekend shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Prior janitorial or facilities maintenance experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license if driving between locations or operating company vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Clean parking areas, stairwells, elevators, entrances/exits, and sidewalks.
• Sweep, mop, pressure wash, or scrub surfaces to maintain cleanliness and safety.
• Remove trash and debris from parking areas throughout the day.
• Perform light maintenance such as replacing bulbs, cleaning signage, or touching up paint.
• Report damage, vandalism, or maintenance needs to supervisors promptly.
• Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and notify supervisor of restocking needs.
• Maintain safety standards and use appropriate signage.
• Operate cleaning and maintenance equipment such as pressure washers, floor scrubbers, or hand tools.
• Support seasonal needs such as de-icing, snow shoveling, or storm cleanup.
• Respond to service requests or facility issues as assigned by management.
• Provide excellent customer service and direct patrons as needed in a professional and courteous manner.
