Job summary

City of Savannah is seeking a Senior Parking Services Officer to enforce parking ordinances and assist the public at city locations. The role involves issuing citations, reporting daily activities, and investigating complaints while maintaining courteous customer service.

You must possess a valid Georgia driver’s license and be able to work a Monday–Friday 8am–5pm or Tuesday–Saturday 11am–8pm schedule. Background checks and post-offer screenings apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience in public relations, customer service, or cashier work is preferred.
• Knowledge of city and department policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Issues citations for parking violations of local, state, and national ordinances.
• Completes daily activity reports.
• Investigates parking violation complaints and resolves issues when possible.
• Serves as an information ambassador for customers.
• Ensures compliance with permit stipulations at various city sites.
• Collects coins and bills from meters and reports malfunctions.
• Reports vehicles with outstanding balances to revenue investigators.
• Reports potential hazards and coordinates with emergency services.
