Job summary

SP Plus Corporation in Philadelphia is seeking a team member for parking operations. You will help guide customers, manage vehicle counts, issue warnings, and maintain order in the garage.

The role requires availability for various shifts, a valid state driver's license if driving is required, and the ability to handle basic math, operate under uniform standards, and lift up to 25 pounds. You will work with the Facility Manager on maintenance tasks and safety concerns.

Qualifications

• Education/Experience: Less than High School education or one month related experience.
• License: Valid state-issued driver's license if driving a company vehicle.
• Availability to Work: Special shift requirements; may require 2nd/3rd shift and/or weekends.
• Language Skills: Ability to read and understand simple instructions and communicate with customers.
• Mathematical Skills: Basic math for handling cash.
• Appearance: Neat, clean, and in uniform.
• Physical Demands: Stand/walk, lift up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Direct incoming customers to available parking spaces.
• Count vehicles on location throughout shift.
• Write and issue violation warnings to tenants and visitors.
• Patrol parking levels on foot or in carts.
• Assist customers who forgot where they parked.
• Be present at work on time in uniform.
• Assist customers and refer to the Facility Manager when needed.
• Control traffic at entrances and exits.
• Assist in maintenance of parking equipment and other tasks as directed.
• Report accidents, policy violations, safety hazards or unusual occurrences to the Facility Manager.
• Communicate debris, spills, and other hazards to the garage office.
• Substitute for Valets when necessary.
• Have thorough knowledge of all garage areas, streets, landmarks, and freeways.
• Assist Facility Manager with other duties.
