Job summary

SP Plus Corporation is seeking a Parking Attendant to manage daily vehicle flow, guide customers, and maintain a clean lot. You’ll count vehicles, issue warnings for violations, and assist guests with parking locations.

You must be able to stand, walk, and lift up to 25 pounds, work evenings, and hold a valid driver’s license. Training and uniform are provided, with opportunities to support facility management.

Qualifications

• Education/experience as described: Less than High School or about 1 month related experience.
• License requirement: valid state-issued driver’s license with acceptable driving record if driving company vehicle.
• Availability to work second/third shift and weekends may be required.
• Language skills: ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions and memos.
• Physical demands: stand, walk, occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Direct incoming customers to available parking spaces.
• Count vehicles on location throughout shift as needed.
• Write and issue violation warnings for policy violations.
• Patrol parking levels on foot or using motor carts.
• Assist customers who forgot where they parked.
• Ensure attendance and uniform standards each scheduled day.
• Answer questions or direct customers to the Facility Manager if needed.
• Control traffic at entrances and exits as required.
• Assist in maintenance of parking equipment and general tasks as directed.
• Report accidents, hazards, or policy violations to the Facility Manager.
• Communicate debris, spills, and issues to garage office.
• Substitute for Valets when authorized.
